adventure training

Adventure Training forms an essential part of the Air
Cadet's training syllabus. As well as helping cadets to forge new
friendships, adventure training enables all cadets to show off and
develop their
leadership qualities.
There is a wide ranging Adventure Training syllabus in the ACO - you could try your hand at watersports, skiing, climbing, walking, abseiling, canoeing, fieldcraft and many more. There are also specialist leadership courses such as the Junior Leaders Course which uses adventure training as a way of teaching leadership skills.

| Cadets often go on expeditions in various parts of the country such as Snowdonia, the Mendips, Dartmoor, the Malvern Hills. As a cadet, you will have the opportunity to plan your own route, and be taught how to use navigational techniques. Then you get to go out and try your skills in the field. |
